Are you a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys working with a dynamic team? Genesis Properties is looking for a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our crew at a modern community in Richmond. What you'll do:
- Lead the crew: Supervise a team of 2 or more maintenance staff and work with the property manager to schedule make-ready and service request tasks.
- Fix it Right: Use your proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair and installation, as well as apartment turns, to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Be a Tech-Savvy Pro: Use technology such as an online make-ready board, digital phone app, and payroll apps. You will also manage Excel spreadsheets, handle frequent emails, place online orders, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
- Stay Ready: Join our rotating on-call schedule to respond to urgent issues and keep our community running smoothly. Weekly bonus applies!
- Solve Resident Problems: Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers to ensure everyone is satisfied and informed.
- Manage Vendors & Budgets: Oversee vendor management, control inventory and purchasing, and help with budget adherence.
What we're looking for:
- At least three years of multi-family maintenance experience: You've been in the game and know the ropes.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor: You have experience overseeing a staff of 2 or more.
- A clean record: You'll need to pass a background check and drug screen.
- A team player: We work better together, and we want someone who feels the same.
- HVAC Universal - Section 608 Certification: This certification is required for the position.
